The name

Chromatic, as the name suggests, represents the diverse shades and colors of life.

We chose this name to reflect our commitment to bringing vibrancy, awareness, and positive change to communities often overshadowed by challenges. Just as colors bring life to a canvas, our work in advocacy and behavior change communication aims to inspire hope, empower voices, and create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Founded as a dedicated trust committed to driving impactful behavior change communication and policy advocacy campaigns. Registered under The Trust Act, we take a rights-based approach to empower communities, enabling them to advocate for and realize their fundamental rights.

Shariq M. Khan

Shariq M. Khan

Founder

Shariq is a media strategist, filmmaker and policy advocate with almost two decades of experience shaping public narratives in Pakistan. A former Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, he founded Incision in 2008 and has directed campaigns for partners including Ridley Scott Associates and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. At Chromatic, he brings that craft to public interest work, leading Pakistan's first digital policy advocacy campaign on tobacco control with Bloomberg Philanthropies, credited with 7 national policy changes. His work spans public health, rights-based programming and behaviour change communication, advancing 12 UN Sustainable Development Goals. He has represented Pakistan internationally, including at Johns Hopkins University, on using media to drive policy change.

Tayyab

Tayyab

Head of Operations & Programs

Tayyab is Chromatic's Head of Operations and Programs, translating strategy into delivery on the ground. He has overseen the successful execution of multiple national programmes, building the systems and partnerships that carry advocacy from concept to measurable impact. His work spans communities across Pakistan, from public health and rights-based programming to behaviour change communication. Recognised internationally for his consistency in delivery, he has helped position Chromatic's programmes as a representation of the good work being done in and by Pakistan. His focus remains simple: that every commitment made on paper is felt in the field.
